Footpath Closure

Temporary Closure of Footpaths L 6/11 and L 18/8

TAKE NOTICE that in pursuance of Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as
amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the County Council of Somerset
hereby issues this Notice PROHIBITING ALL TRAFFIC from proceeding along Footpath L6/11
from its junction with the county road known as West Charlton in a westerly direction for
approximately 890 metres to an unsafe bridge over the River Cary and its junction with the
Footpath L 18/8 and then in a south westerly direction for approximately 920 metres to its
junction with the County Road known as Huish Road due to an unsafe bridge.
The closure will take effect from 18 September 2018 and will remain in force for 21 days.

Dear All

 

Please find attached a closure for footpaths L 6/11 and L 18/8 in the Parishes of Charlton Mackrell and Kingsdon respectively.  The closure is due to an unsafe footbridge. Please note that the closure is for an initial 21 days but this will be extended to 6 months after this.
