To save money, energy and resources, the priority for waste is to
reduce it by buying less or shopping smarter for items that last, then to
reuse by selling or donating goods, and only then to recycle materials
at the kerbside or recycling site. Reduce-reuse-recycle conserves the
Somerset environment and sends far less to costly, wasteful and
polluting landfill. See our website for: all kerbside services; reporting
missed collections; ordering garden and bulky waste collections;
recycling site details and materials taken; advice on how to reduce and
reuse waste; and to subscribe to our regular e-newsletter. And do
check out Somersetwaste on Facebook and Twitter.
