The children’s play area at the Charltons Community Centre is in dire need of redevelopment. A small group of villagers have committed to undertake the necessary fundraising activities to do this on behalf of the Parish Council who are the owners of the Community Centre and Field.
We have consulted with the villagers and there is significant support for the plans which are to create areas that are totally inclusive and meet the needs of ALL our residents from the ages of 0 – 100+ years old and for those with Special Needs and/or Disabilities.
Our vision is to provide an exciting space for
children up to 12yrs
and quiet sensory/garden area
We are working in close partnership with Rob Parr, the South Somerset Locality Officer who has a wide experience of supporting these kinds of projects.
