New Hospital link road

From Monday 14 November at 10am, the new link road will be opened and the stretch of Higher Kingston Road from the turning point to Roping Road on wards will now be operated as a one way system, as shown below. A gate-man will be onsite to direct all traffic; however, please ensure that you familiarise yourselves with the new layout and notify patients of the change of layout as and when practicable. Visitors dropping off patients and wishing to park in P1 will now need to turn left onto the A37 and back on the slip road to the hospital.

Somerset County Council Press Release Drive safely and for longer with Route 60+ A free course to help older drivers prolong their driving career while staying safe is being held as part of a special event near Bridgwater next week. Route 60+ is run by Somerset County Council’s Road Safety Team and covers both how vehicles have changed over the years and also how driving skills and habits have evolved. This extended event has been organised in partnership with Bridgwater Bay Health Federation and will see more than 20 agencies offering health and wellbeing advice at Junction 24 from 10am to 1pm on Thursday 10 November.
